Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite is set to have his loan spell at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven terminated, according to reports.
The 20-year-old headed to the Eredivisie on a season-long loan to join up with Ruud van Nistelrooy's side. However, after only starting three league games for the Rood-Witten, the Daily Mail have claimed that the Blues will look to recall the defender in the forthcoming transfer window with other European clubs said to be interested.
The report adds that former Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho holds an interest in the England Under-20 international and therefore AS Roma could try and strike a deal with Everton for Branthwaite in January. There is also claimed to be interest from England.

Branthwaite joined the Blues from Carlisle United in January 2020 and enjoyed a stint at Championship side Blackburn Rovers a year later under Tony Mowbray. In December 2021, he signed a new contract at Goodison Park.
Upon penning fresh terms on Merseyside, Branthwaite outlined his hopes of becoming a prominent figure in the Everton ranks in the coming years.
“It feels like Everton have full belief in me so I have to show them what I can do,” the centre-back told evertonfc.com. “I am buzzing to get the deal done and commit my future to the club. The way Everton have treated me and the pathway I can see are why I was eager to stay longer.
“Playing for Everton’s first team is a massive honour. I want more so I have to prove I am good enough to be there and keep progressing. My main objective is to play as many games as possible and help the team."
