It has been a tumultuous period at Everton as the club continue their search for a new manager against a backdrop of fan disgruntlement with the board and owner Farhad Moshiri.
To make matters worse, they have been unable to add any new signings with former boss Frank Lampard unable to call upon any of his January transfer targets before he was relieved of his duties in the wake of nine defeats in 12 Premier League games.
The Blues are desperate for reinforcements to save a faltering season which has seen them plunged into a relegation battle, with supporters growing even more frustrated at the lack of business following their doomed pursuit of Arnaut Danjuma.
The Dutchman had been on the brink of a loan move to Everton only for Tottenham to hijack the deal. Danjuma is believed to have completed his medical at Finch Farm ahead of a proposed move to the Blues but, late in the day, the north London side swooped in and snapped up the Villarreal attacker.
With a few days left until the window closes fans are eager to see some new blood. The ECHO has selected five transfer targets and we want you to select who you want to end up at Goodison, and which players you don't, using our new 'Swerve or Swoop tool below.
Goals have been a major difficulty for the Blues this season with Demari Gray their top scorer with just five during a season where Dominic Calvert-Lewin has struggled with injuries.
Also, if the Blues sell winger Anthony Gordon - with Newcastle and Chelsea both strongly linked - then the need to replace him and bring in additional creative talent becomes even more acute.
Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus revealed he was 'really close' to signing for Everton during the summer transfer window and the Blues have apparently kept tabs on the Ghana international.

Swedish forward Viktor Gyokeres has also been on Everton's radar having been in good form for Coventry City in the Championship while Blackburn's Ben Brereton Diaz, who is out of contract in the summer, has been touted as a cut-price option.
Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech and Atalanta forward Duvan Zapata have also been linked with a move to Goodison having seemingly fallen out of favour at their respective clubs.
