Everton's new stadium restaurants revealed as club promises 'revolutionary re-set of traditional football hospitality'

The team behind Everton’s new waterfront stadium in Liverpool have announced new details of their plans for a “revolutionary re-set of traditional football hospitality”.

The club revealed the latest phase of its ALL matchday experiences for the new 52,888-capacity stadium now under construction at Liverpool’s northern docks.

‘Dock on 1’ will be the stadium’s flexible seasonal membership option for supporters or businesses, allowing people to tailor matchday clients for themselves, clients staff and friends.

The club is stressing that the new packages will be extremely flexible - and a long way from traditional perceptions of corporate boxes with set meals.

Everton hopes its stadium will bring a £1.3bn economic boost to the North West and to the country, creating tens of thousands of jobs and attracting 1.4m visitors to the city of Liverpool each year.

The matchday experiences are being promoted at an All showroom high up in the Royal Liver Building where potential buyers can see and learn more about the stadium and the experiences on offer. When BusinessLive visited, our guides joked that the phrase “corporate hospitality” was to be completely avoided.

ALL will offer a range of bars, restaurants and experiences from fine dining and casual restaurants to sports bars, traditional pubs and tapas-style social spaces. Guests will also be able to enjoy stunning views over the Mersey and beyond from the new stadium’s west stand.

Dock on 1 - the latest in a series of announcements to be made by Everton about the stadium's hospitality offer - will allow people to pick and choose from the experiences on offer over the course of a season, rather than being restricted to set menus in set corporate boxes for set matches.

That could include a tailored seasonal dining plan from the restaurants, or simply drinks and snacks, before watching the match from seats on the halfway line in the west stand.

The socialising and dining experiences available at Dock on 1 are:

The Yard

Everton says: “Inspired by the dockyard heritage of the site (the Yard) is the entry point to ‘Dock on 1’ and the focal point for seasonal members on a matchday, both as a meeting place and an option for those who prefer the convenience of a premium bar.

Boa Vista

This restaurant is inspired by Spanish, Basque, Galician, Filipino and Latin-American communities who lived and worked in Liverpool and its sister ports.

Everton said: “Boa Vista also represents a Portuguese phrase that translates as ‘fine view,’ perfectly representing the panoramic vistas the stadium offers over the River Mersey and the hallowed turf - as the restaurant overlooks the halfway line. Guests dining at Boa Vista will enjoy an à la carte formal dining experience with a mix of eclectic flavours.”

The Blue Line

This venue will be an Asia-Pacific inspired informal restaurant with pitchside views. It takes its inspiration from the Blue Funnel Line, the historic shipping company that connected Liverpool to the Far East.

Merchants

Everton said: “This restaurant celebrates Liverpool’s heritage as one of the world’s greatest maritime cities. With 40% of all global trade, from cotton to coal, tobacco to tea and silk to spices all passing through the city’s docks – Merchants, with its pitchside views, recreates the vibrancy of the spice trade through small plate menus inspired by North Africa and the Mediterranean.”
