Not every player enjoys the media duties that come with being a professional footballer, but Bristol Rovers new boy Lewis Gibson is a natural talker.
The Everton loanee was introduced to reporters at The Quarters on Thursday and was instantly comfortable as he took the chair in front of the camera and microphones. What followed was not the interview one might typically expect from a younger player, who may be understandably shy or guarded.
Gibson, instead, appeared to relish the experience. After the final question, the 22-year-old centre-back seemed almost disappointed it was over. This was not an interview full of significant revelations, but an enjoyable one nonetheless, leaving an impression that he is a nice addition to the dressing room because of his confidence yet not taking himself too seriously.
