Everton's Dynamo Kyiv fundraiser will be the first 'Match for Peace' in the UK

Everton’s pre-season friendly against Dynamo Kyiv next week will be the first ‘Match for Peace’ played in the UK by the Ukrainian side. The charity fundraiser, at Goodison Park on Friday, July 29 (7.45pm kick-off), will directly support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, following the Russian invasion earlier this year.

Dynamo, who sold Vitalii Mykolenko to the Blues in January, have previously participated in games in Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Belgium since the start of the war, as part of their ‘Match For Peace’ initiative. However, this will be the first such occasion on British soil, reflecting Everton’s unwavering support and commitment to the people of the Ukraine during the ongoing conflict.

Richard Kenyon, Director of Communications, Revenue and International Growth at Everton, said: “This hugely important Match for Peace will raise vital funds for the humanitarian effort in Ukraine. The club stands with all Ukrainians and I’m sure all Evertonians will show their support at Goodison.”

Tickets are now on general sale, priced at £15 for adults (18 to 64-year-olds) and £5 for concessions (under-18s and over-65s). Supporters have the option to add a donation of £1, £5 or £10 at the point of purchase, with the money raised bolstering the total raised for charity through ticket sales and other matchday activities.

Please note, there will be no hospitality available for this game and Hospitality Members will need to purchase tickets through the general admission avenues. Everton have previously supported the people of the Ukraine by wearing the logo of the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal on shirt sleeves for the final 10 games of the 2021/22 season while the club also contributed £250,000 to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal in March – a total matched by majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and Chairman Bill Kenwright.
