Everton player ratings as Donny van de Beek and four others sensational against Leeds United

Jordan Pickford 7 - Largely untroubled aside from two rasping Rodrigo rockets that rattled his crossbar. Came out of goal and dealt with a through ball with a nice piece of skill.

Seamus Coleman 8 - Rolled back the years by popping up in the six-yard box to open the scoring. Led from the front and did not shirk his defensive duties. Like being in 2013 all over again.

Mason Holgate 8 - Produced a superb last-ditch tackle and was alert to several interceptions. One of his best performances in a long time. Brushed off a kick to the face.

Michael Keane 7 - A goal at the perfect moment to repair his confidence, which has looked strained at times. Defended resolutely and headed everything.

Jonjoe Kenny 8 - A superb piece of skill helped open the scoring, and he was at it again later in the first-half with an audacious turn. An excellent showing in an unfamiliar position without fuss. Tackled everyone.

Alex Iwobi 7 - Given a lot of the ball in the opening stages but his end product remains frustrating. Work-rate cannot be questioned and he remained a threat throughout. Booked.

Allan 7 - Better from the Brazilian after an erratic showing in midweek. He held his position, kept it simple and won the ball back when necessary. Exactly what he is there to do.

Donny van de Beek 8 - An outstanding debut. Forced the opening goal with an excellent pass and intelligent decision making. He was given the Gwladys Street seal of approval with his own chant after 15 minutes.

*Give us your player ratings:

Anthony Gordon 7 - A constant threat. Should have scored an early chance but assisted Michael Keane heading home. He is undroppable and his progression over the last three months is stunning. Subbed to a rapturous rendition of his song.

Richarlison 8 - Industrious and forced mistakes. A nuisance throughout and deserved his goal before it was awarded to Anthony Gordon. When he plays like this he is a force of nature. Subbed for Salomon Rondon and a standing ovation.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin 7 - His positioning forced the opening goal and initially started the attack with a clever run in-behind. Everton are a different team with his focal point to target when under the cosh. Subbed for Dele Alli with another standing ovation.

SUBSTITUTES

Dele Alli (on for Calvert-Lewin, 72) 6 - Almost assisted a flying Salomon Rondon mid-air volley with a stunning pass.

Anwar El Ghazi (on for Gordon, 80) - No real time to make an impact.

Salomon Rondon (on for Richarlison, 85) - If he would have scored the flying volley, 40,000 Evertonians would have been heading straight into town. Audacious.
