Jordan Pickford - 5
A mixed 90 minutes for the England international, who after saving well from Sergi Canos in the first half, also scuffed a clearance from a Seamus Coleman back pass. Was also at fault for bringing down Ivan Toney for Brentford’s penalty.
Seamus Coleman - 6
A solid outing for the Everton captain, who operated on the right in Everton's 3-4-3 formation. A bit sloppy in possession at times, but he was full of energy down the right.
Michael Keane - 7
Operating in the middle of a three-man defence, the defender was solid and dealt well with the threat of Toney in the first half. However, he lost his way a bit in the second half after his side went 2-0 up.
Mason Holgate - 7
A fine performance from the defender, who was faultless throughout the 90 minutes. Started on the right then moved over to the left when Ben Godfrey went off. Deserved his goal for his efforts.

Ben Godfrey - 7
Started brightly and helped set-up a chance for Richarlison with a run that started well in his own half. However, his afternoon was cut short when he limped off injured after less than 15 minutes.
Vitalii Mykolenko - 6
Operated in a floating role on the left that saw him play as a left-back and left-winger. Struggled to offer an attacking threat in the first half, but grew into the game in the second half.
Andre Gomes - 7
Neat and tidy in possession, and grew into the game the longer it went on. Booked for a foul on Toney in the first half, and could have perhaps opted to shoot instead of passing on a number of occasions.
Allan - 7
A solid outing for the Brazilian, who looks to be slowly getting back to his best after Covid and injury problems. The full game here will have done him the world of good.
Anthony Gordon - 7
Booked in the second half, but it was another fine display from the youngster. Always looking to get on the ball, and always a threat in behind. He is fast becoming a fans favourite at Goodison Park.
Demarai Gray - 8
Everton’s man of the match. Full of energy and always a danger. Let down at times when he fails to get the service he deserves, but that doesn't stop him working hard. Certainly deserved the standing ovation he got when replaced in the closing stages.
Richarlison - 7
Got better as the game went on, and once again got himself on the scoresheet when operating through the middle. Should have scored in the first half, but another solid outing from the Brazilian.
