Salomon Rondon will not start for Everton as the club's only fit and recognised first team striker begins the match with Aston Villa on the bench.
The Venezuela international was suspended for the Blues' season opener against Chelsea following the straight red card he received against Brentford last season. Anthony Gordon started the furthest forward in that 1-0 defeat, during which Everton struggled to take advantage of a handful of opportunities.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin still absent due to his knee injury, whether Rondon would start was one of the big questions going into the trip to Villa Park. But Frank Lampard has opted to instead to retain the same front three as last week.

Conor Coady makes his Everton debut following his arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mason Holgate also starts as the pair join James Tarkowski following last week's injuries to Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey. Abdoulaye Doucoure and Alex Iwobi will continue in centre midfield after their battling performance against Chelsea.
With Rondon on the bench, Everton's forward line will consist of Gordon, Dwight McNeil and Demarai Gray.
Meanwhile, club captain Seamus Coleman is back in the first team squad as he continues his recovery from summer surgery, while Tom Davies is also on the bench after injury disrupted the end of his pre-season. New signing Amadou Onana is also in the squad with the 20-year-old on joining Coleman and Davies on the bench, which also includes Dele Alli, Asmir Begovic, Michael Keane, Ruben Vinagre and Stanley Mills. Allan misses out with a "minor knock".
Starting line up: Pickford, Coady, Tarkowski, Holgate, Mykolenko, Patterson, Doucoure, Iwobi, Gordon, Gray, McNeil.
Bench: Begovic, Coleman, Keane, Vinagre, Mills, Davies, Onana, Dele, Rondon.
