Frank Lampard watched his Everton side go down to a 2-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Arsenal in the first game of their pre-season tour of the United States.
Despite the result holding no consequences, there will still have been plenty of takeaways for the Everton manager ahead of the Premier League's return next month.
Having lost Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the window, the Blues appeared to lack firepower in attack and looked sloppy in moments at the back, which however understandable, shows that there is more work to be done. Both on the field and in the transfer market, with Lampard admitting afterwards the club is working on more signings after the arrival of James Tarkowski.
