Everton linked attacker 'ready to terminate contract after three failed transfers'

Leicester City outcast Ayoze Perez is 'ready to terminate his contract' after failed efforts from the likes of Everton, according to a report.

The Blues were previously reported to have held an interest in the Spanish forward during Rafael Benitez's ill-fated spell at the Goodison Park helm, having worked together during his time at Newcastle United.

However, nothing materialised and for Perez two further potential deals supposedly failed as moves to Crystal Palace and Fulham are also said to have fallen through.

It has been reported in Spain that Everton retained interest until the summer. However, the Blues added firepower in the form of Dwight McNeil to their wide department, following his relegation with Burnley.

As per AS via Sport Witness, for Perez, his eyes are now set on a return back to his native Spain. The 29-year-old kickstarted his professional career with Tenerife in the Segunda Division.

He scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in his final season before he secured a move to England and the Magpies, where he spent five seasons.

Following his time in the North East, he put pen-to-paper on a deal at the King Power Stadium with the Foxes. After being a regular fixture in his debut campaign in the Midlands, his involvement as waivered - resigning him to a handful of league and cup appearances.

Brendan Rodgers welcomed just one arrival in the summer, during a frustrating transfer window, as Wout Faes was the only signing on deadline day. Leicester have struggled in the early parts of the season as they sit in the bottom three but for Perez, he has made just four appearances, one of which from the offset.
