Chris Beesley - Richarlison benched
Frank Lampard hailed fit-again pair Ben Godfrey and Demarai Gray as both being "big players" for Everton now that they're fit to return against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but will they start?
Godfrey would seemingly go straight back into the back four, either at the expense of one of the centre-backs - Lampard said Michael Keane, who scored an own goal at Tottenham Hotspur and was hooked at half-time, had been "suffering" with a fever but is okay now - or even at left-back where Jonjoe Kenny has been deputising.
Personally I'd start putting people in their favoured positions in defence and that would mean installing the former Norwich City man at centre-back and putting Vitalii Mykolenko in at left-back.
None of Everton's defence from Monday night could legitimately claim to be immune from being dropped after such a shambolic showing and while I don't think Lampard will make this call, I'd bring in Nathan Patterson for captain Seamus Coleman at right-back.
The Blues desperately need to revert to a midfield trio but in front of them, if Gray is to return, it's seemingly at the expense of either Anthony Gordon, Richarlison or Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The former has been Everton's most-consistent player of late so he stays in.
Many might be tempted to axe Calvert-Lewin given his goalless run since returning to fitness but the team desperately need to get him up and running again so I'm keeping him in and benching the Brazilian.
My team (4-3-3): Pickford; Patterson, Holgate, Godfrey, Mykolenko; Allan, Doucoure, Van de Beek; Gordon, Calvert-Lewin, Gray.
Sam Carroll - Ben Godfrey returns
Ben Godfrey could be one of the first names on the team-sheet as he makes his return from injury.
Frank Lampard must reinstall Vitalii Mykolenko to the left-back position - despite Jonjoe Kenny performing well since the arrival of the new manager - while Jarrad Branthwaite comes into a back-five.
Allan is also taken out of the firing line as Demarai Gray comes back in to an attacking front-three.
It is a difficult decision to make because Anthony Gordon has been the only shining light in a dismal season but he is given a break before the must-win visit of Newcastle United in midweek.
Gray can play in a 10 - dovetailing with Richarlison in a free-role - while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the traditional central striker.
My team (3-4-1-2): Pickford; Godfrey, Keane, Branthwaite; Coleman, Van de Beek, Doucoure, Mykolenko; Gray; Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.
Paul Wheelock - Huge decision up front
If Ben Godfrey is fully fit, he should come straight into the side.
And so bad was the performance of the defence in the drubbing at Tottenham Hotspur - they were not the only ones, mind - then none of its members could have any complaints if they lost their place to the versatile Godfrey.
But while there were mitigating circumstances for the showing of Michael Keane, in particular, it feels like he needs to be taken out of the firing line, especially if he has been feeling under the weather.
Vitalii Mykolenko should also be a given a chance from the start with Jonjoe Kenny, who by and large done has okay out of position at left-back, the man to make way.
The midfield remains the same but at some point Dele Alli must be given a go. If not today, then Newcastle United on Thursday?
But it's up front where Frank Lampard has his biggest decisions to make. Anthony Gordon has made himself undroppable while, like Godfrey, Demarai Gray has to be thrown into the team if he is 100%.
But who makes way? Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison? It's a huge call. I would have preferred to have seen Calvert-Lewin start on the bench at Tottenham to keep him fresh for this huge home double-header. That wasn't the way it transpired and his performance in north London showed he is still a way from being the key player he undoubtedly is. Everton need their No.9 back to his best, but given Richarlison's excellent scoring record against Wolves, I'm going with the Brazilian.
My team (4-3-3): Pickford; Coleman, Holgate, Godfrey, Mykolenko; Allan, Van de Beek, Doucoure; Gordon, Richarlison, Gray.
