Everton are one of several Premier League teams interested in Daichi Kamada as the Eintracht Frankfurt star considers his future, according to Forbes.
Japanese attacking midfielder Kamada is out of contract with Frankfurt next summer, potentially opening the door to a pre-contract agreement come January with a view to a free transfer next summer. Teams could also jump ahead of the pack and opt to try and tempt the Bundesliga club with a cut-price offer to sign in the winter.
Everton have made clear their desire for a creative midfielder since the summer, with late bids for Mykhaylo Mudryk and Mohamed Kudus - who are both now likely out of reach after outstanding performances with their respective clubs - provoding a clear picture of Frank Lampard's priority for the next window.

And Kamada fits that bill perfectly, with the 26-year-old registering seven goals and three assists in 11 Bundesliga appearances, including a smart finish in his side's 2-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. A free-roaming and creative attacking midfielder, he can be deployed on either side of a striker and is most effective when drifting centrally.
Frankfurt want to keep their man, and director of sport Markus Krösche has admitted he awaits Kamada's response to a new contract offer tabled recently, telling BILD: “We told both that we would like to keep working with them and that they are crucial players for us in the future. Now we will have to await their response.”
Kamada reportedly wanted to leave the German side last summer, but saw an offer from Benfica rejected by the club as they hoped to secure a new deal instead of risking a free transfer. Whether that risk pays off remains to be seen, but Everton will be monitoring developments as Europe's domestic football leagues break for the World Cup in a couple of weeks.
