Everton supporters can breathe an collective sigh of relief after Brentford clawed from a goal behind to beat Nottingham Forest 2-1.
With eight minutes remaining, Steve Cooper’s strugglers appeared destined to grind out an unlikely three points on the road. Forest - who have recorded just one away win all season - led through Danilo’s first-half goal.
However, strikes from Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva stunned the visitors and ensured a dramatic home win for the Bees. The latter came after a lengthy - and nervy - VAR check in the 94th minute before ultimately being given.

Had Forest held on, they would have moved four points clear of the relegation places - and five above 19th-placed Everton. A despondent Cooper looked dejected at full-time after his Forest side failed to hold on.
The result added extra value to Monday night’s mammoth clash at the King Power Stadium, where the Blues travel to take on 18th-placed Leicester City. No matter the result, however, Forest are set to drop into the bottom three.
A draw will allow Leicester - currently on 29 points - to leapfrog Cooper’s men on goal difference, while a win for either side moves them away from danger… for now.
Leeds United, who sit 16th on 30 points, travel to a Bournemouth side on the cusp of safety on Sunday afternoon.
