Everton will face a trip to Fleetwood Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The second-round draw was made this evening and it handed Frank Lampard's side a showdown at League One outfit Fleetwood, who are now managed by former Celtic star Scott Brown.
The tie will be played in the week commencing August 22 and gives the Blues the chance to kick-start a run to Wembley.

Everton were eliminated at the third round stage last season, after losing 8-7 on penalties, following an initial 2-2 draw, at Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
Having not progressed past the quarter-final stage since the 2015/16 season, the Toffees will be hoping to give their supporters something to cheer about following a disappointing 2021/22 campaign.
The Blues kicked off the new campaign with a tough 1-0 home loss to Chelsea. They travel to Aston Villa this Saturday before welcoming Nottingham Forest to Goodison Park on Saturday, August 20.
That will be followed by a second-ever meeting with Fleetwood. The first meeting came in September 2020, also in the League Cup, with Everton running out 5-2 winners at Highbury Stadium .
Tranmere Rovers, meanwhile, were handed a superb draw.
After winning their first-round tie at Accrington Stanley on penalties, the Wirral outfit will now welcome top-flight Newcastle United to Prenton Park in the second round.
