Everton defender Gabby George is set to miss the rest of the campaign with a hamstring injury.
The 26-year-old has been one of the Blues' most consistent performers this season, and was named the Women's Super League [WSL] Player of the Month in January. However, George has been sidelined for Everton's last two games after picking up an injury in training.
And the club has now confirmed the defender won't feature again for Brian Sorensen's side this term and has already started her rehabilitation. In a statement on Thursday, Everton revealed George will not have to undergo surgery and is expected to be available for the start of pre-season training in July.

It's a huge blow for the Blues, who are bidding to finish the season in the top half of the WSL table and are set to face three of the top four in their final four games of the campaign. George's injury is also likely to be the cause of some consternation among the England coaching staff.
While Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman hasn't called George up to the last two international camps, a deluge of defensive injuries within the squad could have offered the 26-year-old a route back into the squad for this summer's Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
