Everton have confirmed the signing of Ruben Vinagre on loan from Sporting CP.
The 23-year-old became the Blues' second arrival of the summer on Wednesday, following the transfer of James Tarkowski earlier in the month. The left wing-back is someone that director of football Kevin Thelwell knows extensively during the pair's time at Wolverhampton Wanderers together.
Vinagre told EvertonTV: "It's an amazing club. For me, it's a dream come true to join a big club like Everton - historic in England.

"I knew Everton were interested and when my manager told me, I already said I want to go. Everton is a very big club.
"It's the opportunity to work with very good player, a very good coach. These things together made me more excited to work here."
The defender moved to the midlands side from Monaco initially on loan in 2017 before his switch became permanent a year later. After two seasons in the Premier League loans to Olympiacos, Famalicao and Sporting CP followed - before the latter signed him permanently at the beginning of July 2022 thanks to an obligation in their deal with Wolves.
Vinagre joins Everton to provide competition for Vitalii Mykolenko on the left side of defence, with Niels Nkounkou also currently a senior option in that role too.
The Blues take on Dynamo Kyiv in their final friendly of the summer on Friday before kicking off their 2022/23 Premier League campaign against Chelsea on August 6th.
