An Everton fans' group has given an update on plans to stage a protest at this weekend’s game against Southampton.
Organisers are calling on Blues to support their campaign against how the club is run and 'sit-in' after the game against Nathan Jones’ side at Goodison Park. The Blues will kick-off the game inside the Premier League relegation zone.
The protest is being led by the NSNOW group, formerly known as the 27 Campaign, who were one of a number of groups behind an open letter to Everton owner Farhad Moshiri last week, asking for him to make 'sweeping changes' to the club’s board.

The group, which also led for calls for a walkout of Goodison Park against Arsenal back in December 2021, is also one of the fan groups that is part of the #AllTogetherNow campaign. The campaign was launched following last Tuesday’s 4-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
A statement on the NSNOW website read: “Since the Brighton home defeat, there has been a widespread realisation & agreement that it is only Everton fans, as true custodians of the club, who can force Farhad Moshiri to make the changes necessary to rescue Everton.
“We will continue to provide the team and manager with the backing Evertonians are renowned for. However, we can no longer tolerate the failure of the club’s owner Farhad Moshiri to address the glaring leadership deficiencies at the Chair, board and executive levels.
“Six years ago, in January 2017 Farhad Moshiri talked of “a narrow window of opportunity”. Facing two successive relegation battles that window has all but closed. Only sweeping leadership changes can offer any prospect of his window of opportunity re-opening.
“Doing nothing is no longer a viable strategy for Farhad Moshiri and Everton”
The announcement of the planned 'sit-in' comes just a day after The 1878s confirmed plans for a coach greeting ahead of Saturday's game. The group took to Twitter to ask fans whether they would be willing to participate in a pre-match greeting and received a majority yes after the votes of over 4,000 individuals.
Taking to social media to announce the news, the group tweeted: "The fans have spoken and have voted for a coach greeting on Saturday v Southampton. With the majority 71% of fans voting yes. Route TBC later this week. See you all at 1pm on Saturday, Blues. Once again bring your voices to try and help the team get a much-needed three points."
Similar scenes were witnessed last season as Frank Lampard's side battled to secure their Premier League status. Flags, banners and flares all featured in scenes that will live long in the memory of Blues supporters.
