Everton boss Sean Dyche reveals Nottingham Forest 'close call' as injury update provided

Everton manager Sean Dyche has provided an injury update as he prepares his team to face Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Forest host Everton at the City Ground for a 2pm kick-off on Sunday afternoon, and there are doubts over one of the visitors' strikers heading into the clash. It is an important match for both teams as they look to climb the Premier League table with the business end of the season fast approaching.

Dyche could be without striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who was substituted against Arsenal last month after picking up a hamstring injury. It was the only game he has featured in under Dyche, but could now be set to make his second appearance for the new boss.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Dyche said: "We will see but I think it will be a close call because we have got to get him properly fit.

"I don't think he has been for a while now so we have got to make sure he is properly fit because we can't put him in for one game and lose more."

Meanwhile, Forest defender Serge Aurier has provided an injury update of his own ahead of the match. The former Tottenham man is closing in on a return to first team action under head coach Steve Cooper.
