Everton and Sean Dyche reignite Arsenal title hopes as Man City handed new problem

Arsenal's Premier League title push depends on others in the remaining few weeks of the season, with Manchester City holding the advantage with just a handful of games left. The Gunners are one point behind the Cityzens, but have played one game more at this stage.

Mikel Arteta will be keen for his side to keep Pep Guardiola honest before the end of the campaign, with Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves left to come for the north London outfit. " [It shows] That we are there, that we want to keep digging," the manager said on the win over Newcastle and what it means for the title race.

"The prize is there, not too far. The only thing we can do is keep insisting and not turn our backs and lose focus on something else. Be determined every single day. Let’s keep going and see what happens."

City will have to drop points on two occasions for Arsenal to have a chance, but City don't have an easy run until the end. They face Everton, Brighton, Chelsea and Brentford alongside two Champions League clashes with Real Madrid in the middle of that run.

There are some sides in there with a point to prove, with the Toffees being a key clash, due to their fight to avoid the threat of relegation. They've shown signs of life under Sean Dyche as well, with a clash away at Brighton proving they are still firmly alive in the battle at the bottom.

Within the first half, the Toffees denied the Seagulls and scored three quick goals to take a shock lead, perhaps giving a glimpse into the sort of performance Arsenal fans will be hoping they put up against City. Some fans took to social media to have their say on that possibility.

@APresserV2: "this is the Everton we need against City."

@afcDW: "Trade offer for Everton. We receive: An Everton result against Manchester City. You receive: An Arsenal result against Nottingham Forest."

@now_arsenaI: "I can’t figure out if Everton winning this & Brighton losing this is better for the games they have against City, or worse…"

@BAM_AFC: "3-0 to Everton against Brighton away and its not even half-time. They're beating Manchester City at Goodison this weekend."

@ItsEtyang: "Everton will stop Manchester City and deliver the title to Arsenal."
