Everton and Liverpool have been handed another financial boost for the coming seasons after the Premier League rights for the South American market saw their value increase for the next cycle.
Disney-owned ESPN have acquired the rights to 380 Premier League games after winning the bidding process for the package, with the broadcaster to pay £250m for the privilege, a sum that represents a rise of 35 per cent from the last three-year cycle that ran from 2019 to 2022, according to The Times.
It is the latest success for the Premier League when it comes to broadcasting rights, with the £2bn deal struck for the US rights with NBC taking the total revenues for the next six-year cycle past £10bn, with the international rights worth more than the domestic ones for the very first time.
