Everton have been charged by the Football Association for allegedly failing to ensure 'their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion' against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
The incident in which the charge has been brought occured in the 68th minute of the Blues’ 3-0 win at Goodison Park. First, Marc Guehi went through the back of Dominic Calvert-Lewin before Wilfried Zaha appeared to elbow Anthony Gordon in the back of the head seconds later.
A melee then occurred with both sets of players going at it for a couple of minutes. Referee Simon Hooper then calmed things down before showing yellow cards to Guehi, Zaha, James Tarkowski and Jeffrey Schlupp for their roles in the melee.
