'Even if we fail, we can still...': SRH's Heinrich Klaasen hails team's batting intensity

NEW DELHI: Sunrisers Hyderabad's in-form batter Heinrich Klaasen praised the team's remarkable batting intensity ahead of their IPL clash against Delhi Capitals on Saturday.

Klaasen, who himself has been in red-hot form in the ongoing IPL, has scored 253 runs in 6 matches which includes three fifties at an average of 63.25.

As a vital part of the SRH squad, Klaasen lauded the collective effort put forth by the batting unit.

"It's always fun hitting some big sixes, it's going on nicely. I think the standard the boys are setting up the order, the intensity they are playing with, the amount of pressure they are putting on the bowlers, just need to keep on going," Klaasen told the official broadcaster before the start of the match in Delhi.

"Even if we fail, we can still get to 160-180. The boys are playing with a lot of freedom in the tournament. Nice to see everyone backing themselves. If your intensity is nice and if you put pressure on the bowlers you can score runs big enough. All that we speak about is to be nice and free," Klaasen added.

SRH have won four and lost two out of six games and are sitting at the fourth position on the points table.

SRH recently achieved the highest-ever total of the league — 287/3 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, breaking their own record of 277/3 set against Mumbai Indians last month.
