The odds for this year's Eurovision Song Contest have been updated again before Saturday's final and experts are predicting, what many fans may think is the unthinkable, that the United Kingdom will actually do rather well. However, it is still Ukraine that lead the way in the betting.
On May 3 2022 it became exactly 25 years to the day since the UK's last triumph in Eurovision, when Katrina & the Waves topped the leaderboard in Ireland with their anthemic track Love Shine A Light. Since then, there's been little to shout about from UK Eurovision entries.. Pop Idol star Jessica Garlick managed third in 2022, with our best result in 13 years coming when Jade Ewen, with some help from Andrew Lloyd-Webber, finished fifth with her track It's My Time.
Since then, other than Blue who finished 11th in 2011, the UK has always been on the wrong side of the leaderboard, with us consistently finishing at or near the bottom. And last year proved a particularly bitter pill to swallow when James Newman came last on zero points, having received nothing from either the juries or televote.

However, bookies and Eurovision fans are thinking and hoping that Eurovision 2022 will be a different story as Sam Ryder goes for glory with Spaceman. Having been announced as UK entry a few months ago, TikTok star Sam has definitely put the work in, performing all round Europe at a whole host of events.
Over the past week bookies Betfair have tipped Sam to do well, having him just behind Ukraine, with Italy, Spain's Chanel, Swedish entry Cornelia Jakobs and dark horse Serbia also in contention.
The eyes of Europe and fans across the world will be on Turin on Saturday night for the final and, at the time of writing, just after 2.30pm, these were the final winner odds for Eurovision 2022:
