Viewers have been asking the same question during the Eurovision Song Contest, as singers Teya and Salena provided the the ultimate pop earworm with the catchy Who The Hell is Edgar? But who is Edgar?
Well, viewers settling down to watch the final thought they had the answer to Austria's entry as Serbia's act later took to the stage. After Teya and Salena opened the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, which is taking place in Liverpool at the M&S Bank Arena, Serbian singer Luke Black had fans flocking to Twitter with his haunting performance of Samo Mi Se Spava (I just want to sleep).
According to Black, the throbbing techno song describes himself feeling isolated from the world after, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he would only playing video games and watching anime in bed during quarantine. @monkeymad2 tweeted: "Did this happen because Austria said Edgar Allen Poe 3 times?"

Who The Hell is Edgar? is about the subject of ghostwriting and talks of being possessed by the ghost of 19th century American writer Edgar Allan Poe, one of the first Americans to live by writing alone. One verse of the song mentions: "Zero, dot, zero, zero, three. Give me two years, and your dinner will be free, Gas station champagne is on me, Edgar cannot pay rent for me."
It is believed this number is in reference to a Business Insider report from 2020 that suggested artists earn as little as $0.0033 per stream of a song. TV critic Scott Bryan posted on Twitter: "Austria’s song is about the lack of royalties musicians receive from the likes of Spotify, with 0.003 referencing how much some artists get per stream. Just boss moves. Absolutely no notes."
Teya (Teodora Špirić), 23, and Salena (Selina-Maria Edbauer), 25, met while competing in the Austrian talent show Starmania 21. They bonded over their love of Eurovision and united specifically to enter the contest.
