Eurovision Song Contest 2024: tonight's semi-final 2 running order revealed

The second semi-final of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest is almost upon us.

Sixteen hopefuls will on Thursday (May 9) battle to reach the grand final in Malmo, Sweden, on Saturday.

This year, the big five — acts that are automatically in the final — and Sweden are performing in the semi-finals to give audiences an extra treat.

All eyes will be on Israel’s Eden Golan when she takes to the stage amid anticipated protests over her country’s war in Gaza.

Security has already been tightened before Thursday’s live performances, with protesters vowing to demonstrate outside Malmo Arena while Golan performs.

Organisers are urging acts and audience members to uphold the spirit of Eurovision, touted as a non-political event, and refrain from making any statements on stage.

However, some acts of defiance have already emerged before tomorrow’s show.
