Eurovision's perfect five word response as Liverpool chosen to host

Eurovision 2023 will be held in Liverpool, after the news was confirmed on Friday evening.

Ukraine won the event this year and should be welcoming the world to Kiev in 2023 but sadly this has been deemed not possible because of the Russian invasion. The UK is stepping in after it finished second in this year's contest with artist Sam Ryder.

On Friday (October 7), Graham Norton announced on BBC's The One Show that Liverpool will host the singing competition in 2023. It came after a shortlist was whittled down to just Glasgow and Liverpool.
