Eurovision fans say Latvia was 'robbed' as TikTok hit fails to qualify for final

There was a major upset on Twitter last night as Latvia failed to qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest final in Italy.

Their entry Citi Zeni had been a fan favourite with their naughty tune Eat Your Salad taking TikTok by storm.

A quick search of the app will reveal thousands of videos using the sound.

It’s not just TikTok though, the song has been streamed over 2 million times on Spotify.

This toe-tapper is more than just a tongue and cheek tune, the lyrics are all about being green and eco-friendly, while encouraging others to enjoy an organic diet.

One Twitter user tweeted “I’m never forgiving this continent for not getting Latvia to the final.”

Another user seems to share this opinion saying “if anyone needs me I’ll be mourning the loss of latvia from this year’s eurovision, their place in the final was robbed, ROBBED I tell you.”

The song was a favourite with the audience as they shouted back the censored lyrics to the band as they gave it their all on stage.

The self-proclaimed “rap princes and 21st century pop diva’s who like to sprinkle satire over their lyrics,” took to Instagram to thank their fans.

In their post they signed off by saying “this isn’t the last you’ve heard of us.”
