People are "over the moon" and excited after it was announced Liverpool would host the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023.
It was announced on the BBC this evening that Liverpool will welcome the huge international event next May. The news was revealed by Graham Norton on The One Show.
Liverpool had been whittled down to the final two potential host cities along with Glasgow, beating off competition from the likes of Leeds, Manchester, and Birmingham earlier in the process.
