Eurovision festivities are well underway and Liverpool is pulling out all the stops to welcome both the performers and fans in equal measure.
Thousands of tourists and music lovers have descended on the city to celebrate the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, as the UK hosts on behalf of Ukraine due to the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Liverpool beat competing cities like Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham to play host, with the M&S Bank Arena the centre of the action and home to the main event. Those who didn't bag elusive tickets to the competition can take advantage of the many events kicking off in celebration around the city, while the centrally located EuroVillage offers a dazzling mix of entertainment.

As the glitz and glamour of the competition gets into full swing, many fans are wondering how to cast their vote to ensure their favourite secures the coveted trophy. There's a number of ways to vote in the Eurovision Song Contest, alongside a few changes from previous years.
How to vote in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023
After all the acts have performed, viewers will be able to vote for their favourite via app or telephone.
There’s an official Eurovision app - available on iOS and Android devices - which offers live information about the acts, and also allows users to rank their favourites and vote. After voting, users will receive a video message from their favourite contestant.
Viewers watching in participating countries can also vote by telephone and/or SMS, with the relevant numbers displayed on screen by each broadcaster, as well as via www.esc.vote; the new voting hub for the Eurovision Song Contest.
For the first time, viewers watching in eligible countries not participating in this year's competition will also be able to vote in each semi-final, as well as the grand final. Vote lines will be open and closed at times specified during broadcast, but voting times may change - votes received outside the specified times will not be counted.
Can UK viewers vote for the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023?
Viewers in the UK can vote in the semi-final on Thursday, May 11 and the grand final on Saturday, May 13. Despite there being two semi finals, UK viewers will only be able to vote in the second one.
The six countries who automatically qualified for the grand final - the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Ukraine as last year's winners - are featured in the two semi-finals but the public will not be able to vote for them.
In the grand final, UK based callers will not be able to vote for the UK act and any votes from the UK that are for UK act Mae Muller will not count. For more information, click here.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is running from Tuesday, May 9 until the grand final on Saturday, May 13.
