A 26.5-KILOMETRE underground electricity cable across one of Scotland’s most famous mountain passes has been officially launched as part of a major renewable energy project in the Highlands.
The private electricity connection runs across the Bealach na Bà, linking Bakkafrost Scotland’s freshwater facility at Applecross with Foster Turner Hydro’s Allt na Moine hydro scheme.
