London, United Kingdom – Net migration to the United Kingdom has hit a record at a time when the government is heavily focused on bringing the number of arrivals down.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported last month that 606,000 people arrived in 2022, representing a 24 percent increase on the year before. In 2015, the year before the Brexit referendum, net migration stood at about 330,000.
