European Sleeper announces overnight train network expansion into Scandinavia

  • European Sleeper has announced a new overnight train route connecting Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden , set to launch in spring 2028.
  • Developed in partnership with German railway operator RDC, the service will run connect Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Malmo.
  • Trains are planned to depart from Brussels and Malmo from 7pm and arrive at the other end of the route at 10am the following morning, while London, Paris, Stockholm and Oslo can be reached with one additional change.
  • The service is expected to offer the usual night train accommodation on European Sleeper, including seats, couchettes and sleeper compartments, while deluxe options including double beds and en-suites are also being considered.
  • The Dutch-Belgian operator currently runs other night train services across Europe, connecting major cities such as Berlin, Prague and Amsterdam.
