The £184million EuroMillion winners are reported eyeing up a £7.25million Cotswolds mansion near Jeremy Clarkson ’s farm.
Joe and Jess Thwaite, 49 and 44, went public with their historic EuroMillions win two days ago.
The couple from Gloucestershire scooped £184,262,899.10 and are the UK's richest-ever National Lottery winners.
Now they’re reportedly eyeing up a million-pound-mansion in the Cotswolds, only a short tractor ride from Jeremy Clarkson’s own farm.
The animal loving couple are coping to cash in on their win and buy a seven-bedroom home that comes with a tennis court, 6.5 acres of landscaped gardens, a swimming pool and stable block.
Their new potential home is only a few miles from the Diddly Squat farm owned by TV host Clarkson.
It is close to the picturesque market town of Stow-on-the-Wold in Gloucestershire as well as the celebrity hideout that is Soho House.
The couple, who live in a rented home, bagged the historic win on Thursday and former engineer Joe spent the first 45 minutes after looking at multimillion-pound homes online.
The mansion would fulfil the dream of Jess’s late father, Tony Shearing, of buying village homes for the family.
A source told The Sun: “It’s all still sinking in but they’re looking at new homes already. This house would be the perfect forever hideaway for them and their family.
“It’s an incredible location and has everything you’d want in a country house. It would certainly live up to everything that Tony wanted.”
Jess said the inspiration behind their win is her late father, who always played before he passed away.
Jess, who manages the business side of a hairdressing salon she runs with her sister, said: "My dad played the National Lottery all his life and constantly dreamed of winning.
"He'd always ask us what we'd do when we won, how we'd spend it, who we'd treat. It was a regular conversation and I feel like he was preparing us."
When Jess’ father passed away around seven years ago, Joe took on the mantle of playing The National Lottery.
"The win gives us time to dream which we haven't had before," Jess said.
"We’ve had one week to think about this and we now have time to share lots of experiences and go on adventures with our family and friends.”
The couple, who have been married for 11 years, have two primary school age children.
Joe, a communications sales engineer, also has two children at university from a previous marriage.
Joe said: "The family always ask me if I have a ticket for the big draws. While I don’t play every week, I do a Lucky Dip when there is a big jackpot. Although I don’t feel like I’ve had a lot of luck in the past."
