One lucky Brit could land an eye watering £111million jackpot in tonight’s EuroMillions to make them one of the richest ever UK winners.
The life-changing sum of money is still up for grabs for the final few hours, with tickets available to buy until 7:30pm tonight. The draw will be held around 8pm.
This, the EuroMillions’ 1,538th draw, is one of the special “superdraws” held throughout the year which sees the prize rocket even higher than tonight’s nine-figure jackpot.
If one Brit was to walk away with it, they would become the sixth biggest UK winner ever.
However, they have stiff competition and the odds aren’t in their favour as competitors from Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland all try their luck at the top prize.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “Friday promises to be a big night for UK EuroMillions players with a whopping estimated £111M jackpot up for grabs in the special EuroMillions event draw.
“Players are urged to get their tickets early to be in with a chance of scooping this huge prize.
“Thanks to National Lottery players, more than £30M is generated every week for Good Causes across the country.
“This supports everything from local projects making a difference where you live, to our nations' athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
A superdraw held back in February saw one winner take home £109million, becoming the UK’s tenth highest lottery winner.
The last superdraw held on April 29 had no winner, and if tonight’s prize isn’t claimed it will roll over until someone takes it home or it reaches the jackpot cap of £196million.
The UK’s biggest-ever lottery winners came last month in Gloucestershire couple Joe and Jess Thwaite.
They became overnight millionaires pocketing the massive £184million jackpot with their record-breaking win.
Even after their life turned upside down overnight, the couple are reportedly trying to keep the same old routines, like doing their own DIY.
The second highest-ever winner won a cool £170million in October, 2019, but never revealed their identity.
One unknown Brit out there is walking around as one of the richest lottery winners ever.
The mystery millionaire is richer than Adele and Ed Sheeran.
The third place richest lottery winners celebrated by buying a checked sports jacket, a computer and a tractor.
Colin and Chris Weir took home £161million back in 2011.
Fourth place was Adrian and Gillian Bayford from Suffolk who’s Lucky Dip bought at a convenience store earned them £148.million.
Fifth was Frances and Patrick Connolly from Northern Ireland, who won £114million.
