The RAF Eurofighter Typhoon will return to Swansea's Wales Airshow this summer for the first time since 2019. It is the second big name confirmed for the two-day spectacular taking place over the skies of Swansea Bay on July 1 and 2, following the announcement that The Red Arrows will also thrill crowds at the annual show being organised by Swansea Council.
The jet was very much missed by the public last year and Swansea Council said it had pulled out all the stops to bring it back for 2023. The RAF Typhoon Display Team will make an appearance on both days of the airshow.
There will also be many other stars of the skies and a wide range of fun things to do for families including displays, virtual reality experiences and live music. Council cabinet member, Robert Francis-Davies, said: “Like the Red Arrows, the Typhoon is a huge draw and we’re delighted that it’ll be flying over Swansea again this summer.
