Kasper Dolberg has reportedly been placed on the transfer list by Ajax - around a year after choosing them over Celtic.

The Denmark striker was on the Parkhead shopping list last summer as Brendan Rodgers craved a signing in the centre forward department.

They were believed to be very much in the hunt with the Celtic board willng to splash out to bring in a replacement for Swansea City-bound Adam Idah.

However, Ajax came in to offer him a second spell at the club and that lure proved too strong.

Celtic were left scrambling at the end of the window for a striker and ended up signing Kelechi Iheanacho after the deadline after he had his Sevilla contract cancelled.

Dolberg's move to Ajax didn't turn out to be particulary successful - scoring just three Eredivisie goals and 10 in all competitions.

And VI is reporting sporting director Jordi Cruyff is now actively trying to sell the 28-year-old.
