Euro Gang Entertainment, a company founded last year by Hollywood veterans, Gianni Nunnari and Simon Horsman, is expanding its operations in Italy through a partnership with Rome-based Alfred Film. Alfred Film, co-founded by producers Roberto Amoroso and Maria Theresia Braun, is known for its focus on commercially-driven quality projects.
The collaboration between Euro Gang and Alfred Film includes three feature films and an English-language TV series that will be filmed in Italy and other locations. Alfred Film, established in 2020, has already seen success with mainstream comedy 'Tre di Troppo,' directed by and starring Fabio De Luigi, which grossed €4.7 million ($5 million) at the local box office and is one of the top-grossing Italian films of 2023.
Roberto Amoroso, a former creative director at Sky Italia, and Maria Theresia Braun, who spent two decades at NBCUniversal in Italy, bring a wealth of experience to Alfred Film. The projects they are collaborating on with Euro Gang include:
- 'Black Vatican': An eight-episode horror series based on a story by Andrea Nobile and Mizio Curcio, directed by Marco Kreuzpainter.
- 'Les Italiens' (working title): A Paris-set heist movie penned by Andrea Nobile.
- 'Amore alla lettera': A romantic comedy for young adults co-written by Michele Abatantuono and Lara Prando.
- 'At Full Speed' (working title): An Italian remake of a French comedy about a family on holiday with a stuck cruise control.
Nunnari and Horsman expressed excitement about the partnership with Alfred Film, praising their industry connections and creative expertise. Braun and Amoroso also welcomed the opportunity to work with Euro Gang to bring innovative projects to the Italian and European market.
Euro Gang Entertainment has a robust development slate, including a documentary on chef Nobu Matsuhisa, a multi-project deal with director Marco Kreuzpainter, and an unspecified Broadway play. The company is affiliated with Hollywood Gang Productions and will continue to collaborate with major Hollywood studios on various projects.
Gianni Nunnari, a Rome-born Italian, has a long history in Hollywood and is known for his work with Cecchi Gori Pictures in Los Angeles. The recent collaboration between Euro Gang and Alfred Film marks a significant step in bringing cutting-edge projects to audiences in Italy and beyond.
