A summer of football is very nearly upon us as Germany plays host to Euro 2024.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side look to put their recent poor showings at major tournaments behind them with a deep run on home soil, and it all starts in Munich against Scotland.
It is England who go into the tournament as favourites, after reaching the final three years ago, and this could prove to be Gareth Southgate’s final chance to end the Three Lions’ 58-year wait for major silverware.
France are once again expected to impress on the biggest stage, having fallen just short in the World Cup final in Qatar, but defending champions Italy are going somewhat under the radar, having been placed in a tough group.
They go up against Spain, Croatia and Albania in Group B, in what is expected to be a tight battle for a place in the last-16.
The top two sides in each group will progress into the knockout stages, along with the four best third-placed teams.
