The Diamond League season rolls on with another strong field assembling in Eugene, Orgeon as a busy summer of athletics action continues.

Great Britain’s Keely Hodgkinson, back to fitness after the hamstring issue that forced her withdrawal from the UK Championships, and Amy Hunt are among those in action at the Prefontaine Classic, always a popular stop on the travelling circus.

Hodgkinson takes on the 800 metres ahead of a potential world record tilt in London in a few weeks’ time, while Georgia Hunter Bell goes in the women’s mile full of confidence after success in Paris last weekend.

A stacked men’s mile will see home hopes Yared Nuguse, Hobbs Kessler and Cole Hocker battle Cameron Myers, Niels Laros, Timothy Cheruiyot and Reynold Cheruiyot in the showpiece conclusion to the event.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the Eugene Diamond League?

The Prefontaine Classic will be held on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 July at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene.

How can I watch it?

The BBC has the United Kingdom television rights to every Diamond League meeting, but has not yet revealed where this meeting will be shown. A live stream should be available on the BBC iPlayer or BBC Sport website.
