
European Union and United States trade officials are set for fresh talks in Paris on Tuesday, to discuss Washington’s threat to ramp up tariffs on European vehicles from the previously agreed 15 percent to 25 percent.
The meeting between European Union Commission trade chief Maros Sefcovic and United States trade representative Jamieson Greer follows US President Donald Trump’s warning that duties on EU cars and trucks could jump to 25 percent as early as this week.
