The Charity Commission says it is “monitoring” Britain’s most prestigious school after reports of bad behaviour following a talk by Nigel Farage.

Pupils at Eton College reportedly heckled girls from a visiting state school shortly after the former UKIP leader gave a speech.

Farage, who left before the alleged jeering started, says there was an “excitable atmosphere” before his talk. “I have had tens of millions of views on TikTok”, he told us.

The £40,000-a-year school, which is a registered charity, voluntarily filed a report about a “serious incident” to the Charity Commission. A spokesperson for Eton said “the school has investigated and sanctioned a number of pupils.”

The Commission has vowed to “monitor their handling” of the incident and contact Eton’s charitable trustees.

Lisa Nandy, Labour’s shadow levelling up secretary, launched her new book at Hatchards last night. All In: How We Build a Country That Works sets out her own levelling up agenda and her Tory opponent Michael Gove, the Levelling Up Secretary, seems to think it’s worth a read. He caused a hubbub by turning up at the launch. Gove himself hasn’t released a book in 16 years. His next title could be How To Spook Your Rivals.

I’ve had the time of my life, says Margot Robbie

Good times beckon for the actors who bag parts in the new Amazon series of Neighbours. Margot Robbie called her time on the show “some of the greatest years of my life” during a talk at Bafta HQ last night. Before leaving Ramsay Street for Hollywood, she asked for a “spectacular death” but the writers kept her character alive to allow for a comeback. Has the moment finally arrived?

Amy Winehouse still brings joy

“We know Amy would be so happy that her legacy brings so much joy to so many children,” said Jane Winehouse as her family named a music therapy room in honour of the late singer last week. The Amy Winehouse Music Therapy Room in Muswell Hill will largely be used by children with disabilities. “This is life-changing work”, Winehouse added, “and to now have the music room named in Amy’s honour is a beautiful tribute.”

Last night in town

The BBC’s Claudia Winkleman, designer Anya Hindmarch and royal Cassius Taylor showed support for the Royal Marsden Charity at the Ever After Garden in Grosvenor Square last night. Across town, X-Factor alum Olly Murs and former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts attended Global’s Make Some Noise event at The Londoner Hotel. In east London, Skepta saw the exhibition Grime Stories: From The Corner To The Mainstream at the Museum of London
