Ethiopia is at risk of a wider war. Here’s what you need to know

Fighting has returned to the Tigray region of Ethiopia. Former enemies are joining forces against the government, while the peace agreement that saw the end to one of Africa’s deadliest recent wars appears close to collapse.

The crisis risks merging conflicts in several parts of Ethiopia and drawing neighbouring Eritrea into another war. Here are five things to know:
