An ambulance service centre in Essex has gone up in flames with firefighters attempting to tackle the raging blaze.
Fire crews raced to the "heavily smoke logged" industrial unit - measuring 20 metres by 40 metres - in Thurrock at roughly 4.50am this morning.
They are now working to douse the flames in sections, said the fire service.
Footage posted to social media early this morning showed plumes of smoke billowing over a block of flats from the roof of the unit, which is thought to house Ambulance Transfers Ltd.
The company provides non-emergency and specialist transport to NHS patients.
Locals who live or work nearby are being advised to keep their windows and doors shut.
Ten fire crews from across Essex and London all attended the scene, reports Essex Live.
This included two crews from Gray and Wennington, as well as crews from Orsett, Basildon, Brentwood, Corringham, Chelmsford and Witham's incident command unit.
In a statement, Essex Fire Service said: "Firefighters are currently at the scene of an industrial unit fire in Motherwell Way, Thurrock.
"If you live or work in the area, please keep your windows and doors closed as there’s lots of smoke coming from the scene.
"On arrival, crews reported that an industrial unit - measuring 20 metres by 40 metres - was heavily smoke logged.
"Crews are making steady progress to extinguish the fire in sections."
