Essential visiting only is set to remain. across NHS Lanarkshire's acute inpatient wards.
However, the health board say this is something that is being monitored and reviewed daily.
It was confirmed on March 8 that essential visiting would be introduced across all acute inpatient wards at Hairmyres Hospital, Monklands Hospital and Wishaw General.
This move was due to pressure on all hospital sites and it was already in place at Wishaw General before the expansion to all acute inpatient wards across Lanarkshire.
Essential visiting allows visits to patients who would be distressed or suffer by not seeing a family member with staff using professional judgement to consider when visiting should be allowed.
There has been no change to visiting in NHS Lanarkshire community hospitals, mental health/living disability inpatient units or maternity wards but measures have been introduced to minimise risk.
Although there are no set plans to remove essential visiting across acute inpatient wards, the position is being monitored and reviewed daily according to an NHS Lanarkshire spokesperson.
