ESPN’s Doris Burke Says She Once Recorded Lines for Damian Lillard Rap Song

Damian Lillard’s talents extend beyond the basketball court, as the Bucks star has enjoyed success as a rapper, and he apparently nearly featured ESPN analyst Doris Burke on one of his songs—until her verse got cut.

Burke detailed her short-lived career as a rapper during Milwaukee’s preseason game against the Lakers on Sunday night.

“Do you know I once got cut from a Damian Lillard track? I kid you not. He had me record lines. I didn’t make it. Not surprised,” Burke said with a laugh.

Lillard, who goes by the stage name Dame D.O.L.L.A., has released five albums. His first, The Letter O, landed on the Billboard 200 in 2016, making it as high as No. 119. Two others, Confirmed (2017) and Big D.O.L.L.A. (2019) landed on the indie charts. He released Different On Levels The Lord Allowed in 2021 and Don D.O.L.L.A. earlier this year.

The Bucks open the regular season at home against the 76ers on Oct. 26.
