It has been decades since Desmond Howard played his last snap for Michigan, but that doesn’t mean the Ohio State trash talk ever has to stop. The former wide receiver and current ESPN analyst took a shot at the Buckeyes on Saturday when he came across a video from the team’s spring game.
In the scrimmage, two-time Heisman winner Archie Griffin was ceremoniously given the ball to rush for one final Buckeyes touchdown. Griffin won the Heisman in 1974 and ’75 with Ohio State and did the signature Heisman pose after his touchdown.
Upon seeing this, Howard couldn’t help but remind fans that he’s responsible for the iconic celebration.
Camera guy gave Arch the ball and said, "do that thing the Michigan player did."😂😂#LeadersandBest https://t.co/3bF4gJlC9f

“Camera guy gave Arch the ball and said, ‘do that thing the Michigan player did,’” Howard wrote in a tweet.
Howard is referencing his legendary Heisman pose after scoring a touchdown during a punt return against Ohio State back in 1991. That season, he won the coveted award after catching 62 passes for 985 yards and 19 touchdowns.
It’s been over 30 years since his days of playing against the Buckeyes, but it appears Howard’s distaste for Michigan’s archrival is as strong as ever.
