ESPN retained one of its premier sports betting analysts this week after agreeing to a multi-year contract renewal with Erin Dolan, the network announced Thursday.
The new deal will see Dolan, who returned to ESPN in late 2021 after a prior 2017 stint, transition from the company’s Las Vegas sports betting team, based inside the LINQ Hotel, to its Bristol headquarters to serve as an in-house analyst.
In Bristol, Dolan will be featured regularly in-studio on ESPN’s Daily Wager, SportsCenter, Sunday NFL Countdown, and more. She will also continue hosting her weekly YouTube show, The EKD Show, and creating other betting-specific content on the platform.
“Erin has been important to our growth in the sports betting space, and brings a betting lens to our ESPN programming that we know fans expect from us,” said Scott Clark, ESPN’s Vice President of Fantasy & Betting Content, in a statement. “It’s great to now have her in Bristol contributing daily to our growing sports betting content efforts.”
With ESPN continuing to expand its sports betting coverage, Dolan figures to play an essential role in the ongoing growth with the 2023 NFL season set to begin. In August, the network announced Daily Wager would return to Bristol after three years in Las Vegas, as well as an agreement with Penn Entertainment to launch U.S. sportsbook ESPN BET, which will launch sometime later this fall.
“It’s been amazing to watch ESPN’s sports betting content grow into what it is today,” said Dolan in a statement following Thursday’s news. “When I was hired in 2021, we were just scratching the surface. We’ve evolved quite a bit since then, and I can’t wait to be part of this next phase as we enter into football season.”
