Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel vow to 'set the record straight'

Dick and Angel Strawbridge have promised to "set the record straight" in a new project following the end of Escape to the Chateau.

Last September, Dick and Angel confirmed the ninth series of Escape to the Chateau would be their last, leaving fans of the popular programme devastated. But on Thursday the married couple shared news of their next venture with their many social media followers.

Dick and Angel said their next move has been "nearly a year in the planning" before adding: "we simply could not wait to tell you that we are hitting the road for our biggest ever theatre tour!"

The Instagram post continued: "Taking our family on the road has been an honour and a complete pleasure. Our first theatre tour in 2020; Dare To Do It, was a complete unknown. It was humbling, not only for the number of you that came to see us, but for the stories you told us when we had a chance to have a hug afterwards!"

The family said the new tour will explore "why and how we dared to do it" and give them a chance to "set the record straight".

They added: "We simply can’t wait, and thankfully this time we'll get to hug after the show during the 'meet and greet’. If you came to our first tour, you’ll know that we hang around until we say hello to everyone, or we are chucked out of the theatre!

"For this week, until the 15th June, we have reserved access to priority tickets for our extended Chateau family. After this, ticket sales open up on all channels."

Fans have rushed to comment on the update. Jessica said: "I just love you guys!! I’ve watched all the shows and now going back and re-watching just to pick on things I missed. My four year daughter even loves watching".

Sonja said: "You guys are simply amazing", while Lana said: "Oh my the kids have grown", and Rosie said: "Yes! Can't wait, really enjoyed the Dare To Do It one".
