Erling Haaland went to Manchester City's partner hospital in Barcelona for tests on the groin injury that saw him withdraw from international duty this week.
In an update on Haaland's injury, the striker's father Alfie has told Norwegian TV that his son is currently in Marbella with a City physio, and is 'touch and go' for the Blues' Premier League clash with Liverpool next weekend.
Haaland picked up the injury in the FA Cup win over Burnley at the weekend, where he was replaced after 62 minutes having scored another hat-trick. He linked up with the Norway squad, but withdrew at the start of the week after tests showed the issue with his groin.

Now, Alfie Haaland has confirmed his son then went to Barcelona for tests, before going to his holiday home in Marbella to rest and recuperate.
Speaking to TV2, Alfie said: “Manchester City has a partnership with a hospital in Barcelona so he has been there for further checks and treatment.
“Now he has been here [Marbella] for a couple of days with the physio from the club. Firstly, I’m not a doctor and secondly, I think it’s 'touch and go' [to face Liverpool], yes. You can’t just go two weeks without training and then jump right into a fight. There must be a progression there.
"They can gamble on it, but if he doesn’t get proper training with the team, then he won’t play. It is about how he responds to treatment in the next few days. He needs a lot of care and 'knuckling'. There are many sprints and there is a lot to move.
“It was very surprising. I knew nothing. He called me and said that they had taken some pictures and found something that was not good.
“He would very much like to have played these two international matches. But he must prioritise his health, try to get his body back in place. Based on the assumptions, he is doing well, but he is very sad.”
City have often sent injured players to Dr Cugat in Barcelona for surgery and treatment, although Haaland's visit there could be down to the fact he was already in Spain after withdrawing from the Norway squad. Pep Guardiola will give an update on Haaland's injury next week, when he faces the media ahead of the visit of Liverpool.
