Erling Haaland shows he is the next Zlatan Ibramhovic after what he did to Arsenal's Martin Odegaard

Martin Odegaard was on the end of a playful Erling Haaland kick after Norway's 2-1 win over Sweden on Sunday, the latter drawing further comparisons to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The incoming Man City striker Haaland grabbed both goals while captain Odegaard played the full 90 minutes. The international teammates will become opponents next season, with Haaland switching from the German Bundesliga to the Premier League. And before the two become enemies on the pitch, Haaland gave a brief glimpse of what it would be like going against him twice a season.

After the UEFA Nations League tie over the weekend, with the players leaving the pitch, cameras picked up on a cheerful altercation between the two friends, with Odegaard grabbing Haaland by his top and pushing him back. Haaland is seen laughing, and when the two separate, Haaland aims a kick at the former Real Madrid playmaker's head.

Comparisons to Swedish legend Ibrahamivoc have been long-standing due to both players being tall but extremely technically gifted, the ways in which they can contort their bodies to score sublime goals or the phenomenal leap the duo have. And it's not just what they do on the pitch that has fans comparing Haaland to Ibrahimovic.

Haaland's kick was reminiscent of Ibrahimovic's on Antonio Cassano when the duo were playing in Italy's Serie A. Cassano was speaking to Italian media when out of shot, Ibrahimović aimed and connected a kick at the Italian's head. Cassano, playing for AS Roma at the time, laughs it off while continuing with his interview.
